Wedding Weekend

I said on Friday that Ruthie was going to be in a wedding over the weekend.  Our sweet sweet friend Stephanie Turner found the man of her dreams and decided she’d like to live the rest of her life with him.  Unfortunately, that’s going to take her a couple of hours away from us.  But we had a really fun time celebrating with her!!  Things started off with a brides maid’s luncheon at the Garden Path Inn in Columbia, Al.  The atmosphere was perfect and oh so girlie!!  Lunch was delicious and we ended with sweet gifts from the bride.Ruthie was one of three flower girls.  Here she is with the bride and Anna Lauren and Tinsley. After the luncheon we went straight to Sola Salon for manicures and pedicures!!I didn’t get to get a picture of Ruthie getting her nails done because I was 4 chairs down from her.  But you will see the result later.  After the nail fun, Ruthie went over to Anna Lauren’s to play while I ran a few errands and then we met back up at the church for rehearsal.  The next morning the real fun began with hair and makeup.  By the way, I LOVE Bare Minerals makeup!!  I’ll never use a liquid foundation again!!  LOVE it!  And it was perfect on Ruthie.  I didn’t want her to look all made up….just enhance her natural beauty.  After hair and makeup, we headed to the church for pictures.  I’m so glad the bride didn’t care what kind of polish the girls picked at the nail salon!!  We’ve got hot pink with white zebra stripes!!  hehe!  Love the boots with the wedding gown!!Stephanie was our Director of Preschool Ministries at Ridgecrest Baptist.  She did a phenomenal job!!  She loved each individual child on a personal level.  Although we are no longer at Ridgecrest, I know she will definitely be missed.  If it would have been possible, she would have had every child have a part in the ceremony.  But she had to settle for 16.  3 flower girls, 3 ring bearers and 10 bell ringers that came down the aisle ahead of her.  They were all so precious and all did so very well!!  There was lots of coloring and putting puzzles together in the lobby while we were waiting for things to get started.  I love this sweet pic with her daddy!!Once Keith got there I got seated with him and the rest of my family and we waited for the wedding bells.  I didn’t take any pictures during the actual ceremony as I was having to keep up with Lilly and didn’t want to be too disruptive.  Everything went off without a hitch!!  The reception was BEAUTIFUL!!!  Once again no pics because I was getting worn out from all the excitement.  They had a candy table that was a HUGE hit!!  After that the newly weds got in a SMOKIN’ black Rolls-Royce and drove off into the sunset…..well sort of.  They parked their real get away car here at our house to keep it clean and that would have been an unsuccessful attempt had they not caught me with my shaving cream and markers….if only I’d had more time!!!  Then they had more pictures taken!!  I was beat by this time so I can only imagine how tired they were.We had our own picture taking fun while they were here!!Such a sweet couple!!After they came inside and got changed they were off again.  The door closed and Ruthie said, “I’m so glad I got to be a part of Mrs. Stephanie’s special day!!”  And that was all of our sentiments, exactly.  I hope their honeymoon is FABULOUS and they have a long and happy life together!!  Congratulations Mr and Mrs Holmes!!
