Some Drama Goin’ On In The Sewell Neighborhood

We have DEFINITELY had some DRAMA goin’ on around here lately!!!  A few months back, Tobin fell and injured one of his two front teeth.  Well the tooth began to die and our dentist decided instead of him pulling it we would wait and see if it would come out on it’s own.  Sure enough it began to get really loose and ready to come out.
However, Tobin (like his mother) abhors change….ANY kind of change!!  And also blood that comes from his mouth by the way.  This tooth has caused quite a few problems over the last several days.  It has been REALLY REALLY loose…like hanging by a thread loose!!  We have wiggled and wiggled and even pulled.  Earlier in the week, I was the only one he would let touch it.  I’m normally ok with blood and scrapes and falls but teeth hanging by little threads of bodily tissue make me a bit squemish!!!  But I was brave and hung in there.  And then, I’d had enough…no more.  Passing him on to dad!!

After a whole night and day of not being able to eat (I did make him a smoothie so he’d at least have a little nourishment) he and dad worked on it Wednesday night.  After a few minutes this is what I found….

….it was FINALLY OUT!!!  I hate to be gross here but the amount of blood with this whole ordeal was out of this world!!  There’s a lot of blood vessels goin’ on in the mouth!!  The dry gauze helped to dry it up.  Silly daddy helping to bring some smiles to this tear stained face.He was like a different child with that crazy tooth gone!!  He ran into the kitchen and ate a BELLY FULL of supper!!
He put it under his pillow and the tooth fairy didn’t forget!!!  However….she did make an early morning run out to the car (in her robe) to get some cash.  $1 sure didn’t seem like much after all we’d been through but that’s all she had on hand.  Crazy tooth fairy!!  Probably scarred our neighbors for life sneaking outside in her jammies like that!!!!

Here’s the new look!!  Getting a  much needed haircut today too by the way.  😉Apparently it was hat day at school too.  This is how they all came down the stairs…dressed and ready. These girls are getting ready for some Bama football this weekend!!!  Roll Tide!!!And I just had to grab my camera this morning and snap a few pics of Lilly.  This is normally what she does while we are at the table doing our book work.  Ol’girl LOVES her some books!!And she caught me….Maybe we won’t have any more drama around here for a good while!!
Happy Weekend Everybody!!!

How precious they all are in their hats. Sweet Lilly is more than I can take in that chair with her book and baby. Adorable!! Glad the tooth is out and he is eating again.
